| Another holiday season is one month away, however the Broward Kiwanis Divisions 23 is getting ready to host another well needed eighth annual Christmas in July.
Christmas in July. Broward County homeless kids and families who lives in homeless shelters will continue to benefit. NEW CLOTHING and other contribution are urgently needed.

Last year 2008, Barrett partnered with Starbucks corporate office, Starbucks District Manager Artie Dohler, Starbucks Manager Christian Torres, Sawgrass SB and Starbucks Manager Scott Sprangler, I-595 & 136 Street Store., Store Managers Richard Jarel, Jacaranda Sunrise, Jeff Neer of Sunrise Sawgrass, Assistant Manager Raphael Navarro of Weston Town Center and manager of Nobb Hill with many Starbucks volunteer employees. Starbucks contributed over 500 cups of coffee, milk for the kids, 1/2 trailer of goodies and volunteer services.
Barrett is a longtime advocate for homeownership. His "motto" is "The strong should help the weak." Barrett was also honored in June 29, 1995 in New York as Builder of The Year for converting crack house in decent homes for low and moderate income families, in Bedfordstuyvesant, Harlem and South Bronx.
